Author: Just about every report I’ve read on the Internet lately has been about the massive amounts of traffic you can drive to your website with article marketing. So what is article marketing anyway?
Article marketing is a strategy that is a part of most if not all successful online marketers. Mostly it’s affiliate marketers who use it as part of their campaigns rather than using PPC. The main reason being that it doesn’t involve any monetary investment if you do it yourself but it can involve quite a bit of time. There is the option of paying for freelance writers to write subjects around keywords that help target customers to the product that they are supporting. Freelance writers can be quite cheap, as little as $3.00USD for a 300 word article so if you’re short on time then this can be a viable option.
The first thing you need to do is identify a product that you would like to promote. Find one that is selling really well so you know that the market is there and then try to find a keyword or phrase around that product that has a lot of searches but not a lot of competition. Keyword research software such as Micro Niche Finder can help tremendously with that area. The next task is to find 20 or 30 more keyword phrases that also have a large number of searches compared to the amount of competition. You then need to write articles around those phrases. Nobody said it was easy but it’s not that hard either. Also remember that once you’ve done all the work it will continue to work for you even while you sleep.
So you’ve got your articles, now what? You need to submit them to article directories of course. This is the easy bit. Don’t do it all at once, just trickle them once a day to gain maximum exposure in the Google rankings. This method works best if you have your own domain and website but involves a little bit more work. Set up a wordpress blog and give it a theme that you think may appeal to your target market. Then you have to re-write all those articles again and put ‘em on your site once a day as before. I recommend having all the articles written beforehand, which you can do in a day or two, and then submit one article to the directories and one to your site. I don’t know if it really matters or helps in the Google ranks though. Why re-write them you ask. Because if you don’t you may get penalized for duplicate material and you will go down in the page rankings.
Other things that can help you are article submission services. These can be gotten for ridiculous prices but there is one that is dirt cheap and costs less than a meal from a popular fast food joint. It has a real original name as well. Article Submitter.
Well that’s it. Seems simple and it is and it will get you traffic. We all know that traffic creates sales and if you don’t have any your toast just make a start and be consistent. With quality content you will get there eventually.

The problem using Plr material is the fact people fail to apply it the right way. They should either work with it to find ideas for subjects to write about or maybe completely re-write it or spin it and subsequently place his or her own brand on it.
Do not complicate the method used to send out information. Keep it quick and relevant and your article marketing will render much more earnings than cheap articles built on piles upon piles of happy talk with no real message to convey.
