Hi Everyone,

My name is Leigh Connelly and I’ve created this website for the purposes of outlining my journey into making money online. I first dabbled in online marketing about five years ago. It didn’t go anywhere for several reasons.

Primarily I was just dabbling and had no real mindset about it going anywhere. Mindset is a major factor in online marketing. If you don’t truly believe that you can do it then you quite simply won’t. Secondly, I was too afraid of wasting my hard earned money on some information products that would have helped me.

Everything I came across hyped whatever was on offer to unbelievable claims and as a result I didn’t purchase anything. Consequently I didn’t learn anything either and eventually just gave up.

Finally about two years ago I bit the bullet and purchased a book on starting an Ebay business. I was moderately successful, if you can call $50 profit a week successful. It was a lot of work and I had to constantly be at the computer tweaking my listings and processing my orders. In short, it wasn’t the passive income I was after so the hunt continued and went on for the next two years until I saw a piece on television about some guys selling an information course on passive income online.

I bought the first couple of modules and sort of leap frogged about until I finally discovered the business model that best seems to fit my style.

So why this Blog Anyway?

My goal for this blog is to bring attention to mostly free tools that anybody can use to get started in making money online. My primary focus is on Niche marketing. For that I use Squidoo, Niche websites that have content and ads on them and USFreeads. Some programs I recommend have paid services. Some I’ve tried and some I just recommend because people I respect recommend them but I as yet cannot afford them.

Most of the tools have free versions that are great for getting started and some have very cheap trial offers that I’ve participated in and learned from.

The biggest trick to online marketing is getting traffic to your offers and this is the hardest thing to do in my opinion. Creating content is fairly easy in comparison to getting traffic to the view the content and ultimately convert into sales.

My online Marketing Goals

Pretty simple really. I want to exceed my wife’s income so we can both stay home with the kids and go where we want when we want when school’s out.

Some Stuff You Don’t Need To Know

  • I like Indian food but not too hot ‘cos I’m a wimp when it comes to curry.
  • My favorite sort of books are Fantasy and Science Fiction like any true geek.
  • In school I liked to read Asterix and Obelix (sad but true).
  • Games programming is something I wish I could do but I get confused when I see big numbers.
  • I did a 12 month course in Business programming with databases and stuff and now I stay home with the kids so it was a complete waste of money and time (oh well).
