Google Wonder Wheel, how come I’ve never heard of it ’til now? I was just browsing my twitter tweets and read one by James J Jones of Micro Niche Finder fame which talks about the Google Wonder Wheel. This tool is fantastic and if not useful it at least makes the hunt for a niche market a lot more interesting.

I do find it useful though. I’m influenced more by visual stimulation so anything that graphically represents a search is going to naturally appeal to me. Apparently the Google Wonder Wheel debuted earlier this year so it’s been around for a while. So what is this Wonder Wheel thingy any way?

Basically it represents graphically a Latent Semantic Search or LSI. LSI is a fancy way of saying related. Here’ s a picture which gives you an idea of how it works.

To get to the wonder wheel you click the little plus sign labeled show options that’s under the search text box but just above the actual search results. In the menu which appears is a link titled Wonder Wheel. Click on that and you will get access to this splendiferous device. It shows you the main search in the center of the wheel and all those little arms shooting off are related subjects. This is an awesome way to drill down into a niche to find one that has low competition. When you click on one of those related search terms you get something like this.

See what I mean. Awesome. I’m going to be using this tool a lot from now on. Here at Easy Stay At Home Jobs I like to make my research as easy and enjoyable as I can and this little tool is great. By drilling down deeper and deeper into a niche, then taking that term and researching it in Micro Niche Finder, I should be able to find some really good low competition highly searched keywords.

I use this little gem every day to search for keywords that are worth going after. Sure, you can do all the keyword searches for free but you have to go to a few different websites to do it. And then when you want to analyze those keywords your workload just gets bigger and bigger. If you want to have a massive session on keyword research then you can do it all from this one interface. Saves a lot of time and time is money. Click on a keyword or phrase and you’re presented with a menu that allows you to do all sorts of things. You can search the Clickbank marketplace, search for affiliate offers on that phrase, do a google keyword suggestion list and lots of other neat stuff.

Micro Niche Finder also has a great little trick that is a real time saver. Let’s say you want to find out the exact count for a particular keyword or phrase. If you were doing that from the Google adWords tool you would have to do a search separately on each and every phrase. Tedious!! In Micro Niche Finder you just select all the phrases you want an exact count on and click. In a few minutes you’ll have all that data at your fingertips and have possibly saved yourself a good half hour if not more.

You’ve found your keyword to target and now you need to find out how strong the competition is. If you’ve done this in Google you know that it can be time consuming especially when you’ve got a bunch of phrases to go through. Not so in Micro Niche Finder. Just click the little button shaped like a traffic light. Green means go for it buddy and red means put it in the too hard basket. Of course if the light is red you can always refine your search and dig on that keyword a little further, easy from within Micro Niche Finder. All done simply and efficiently and with no fuss. Keyword research is now actually fun with this software. Well almost.

Once you purchase this program you’re not left on your own. If you stay on Jame’s list you will receive useful information regularly. You know how sometimes you buy something and then you get email after email asking you to buy more and more stuff, not so with James. He will send you actual useful information. Follow James on twitter and you will get tweets on hot niches that he has discovered himself and generously lets others know.

If you don’t like to spend hours upon hours searching for keywords but you don’t want to waste your money on monthly memberships or bogus software then I definitely recommend you take a look at this fantastic tool. James has provided a few free videos that you can view for free to get an idea on how you can make money by targeting niche keywords.

On top of all that you also get a handy little thumb drive sent to you with an extra copy of Micro Niche Finder on it so you can take it with you and use it on another computer.

This battle will probably go on until the Internet itself burns out like a super nova. What's more important when it comes to picking a niche? Is it the amount of demand for that niche or is it how much competition you're up against? This article is going to try to answer this as objectively as possible. I have no doubt that you will find this fascinating reading.

This debate will likely go on ad infinitum for as long as the Internet is around. How do you decide what’s important when picking a niche? Do you conisder the amount of demand for that product or is the competition the most important factor? Let’s try to answer this objectively and see if we can’t figure it out.

We’ll try to reason it out with a hypothetical example. Say you could make people fly and all they had to do was swallow a pill. Flying around by yourself is scary so there’s not much demand for the product. Now, you go and look it up on the Internet to find out the state of the competition and discover that there is in fact zero competing sites for the phrase “pills for flying”. It stands to reason that with no competition you’d be able to sell to the people who wanted to take a pill and be able to fly. With no competition, how many sales do you think you would make? You’d make a sale to everybody who wanted to be able to fly by taking a pill.

This is a bit of a crazy example but it illustrates the point very well. If the competition is low enough and you have even a small demand you’ll be able to make at least some sales. This is the beauty of long tail keywords. They get few searches every month but the competition is low enough that your able to trickle in a few sales every month. Do you think it’s worth going after those keywords? Taking into account that a website is cheap and easy to setup and can cost you as little as $15.00 a month with hosting I think you know the answer to that one.

What if you wanted to go after a phrase that had a million competing sites or more? It might take a little bit more work but if the phrase was being searched 300 000 times a month you could potentially go after it. You know the market is there, it’s just a matter of being able to tap into it. It’s not as easy as capturing a niche market but with a little bit more SEO, some hardcore article marketing and maybe a bit of PPC you could claim your little piece of the action. With a market that big no one person can take it all. Even the mighty Google only has a 50% market share. So you see, there’s plenty for everyone.

We can safely say that the answer is they are equally important. If it’s a small pie and not a lot of people eating then take a big slice. If it’s a big pie and there’s plenty to go around then go for that as well. The only way to lose is to not try anything at all.
