I was watching Matt Cutts on YouTube just now and found this video. If you are into Internet Marketing then you need to watch these videos. It’s all straight from the horse’s mouth and not the horse’s bum.

I found the comments on this video to be particularly interesting. Especially this one from vxcriss.

“If you would be God, and you would be able to instantly visualize all the web pages on the Internet that contain information related to a search phrase, you will probably find thousands of pages with exactly the same information on them, but in different wording. How would you determine which ones deserve to be listed in the first 10? Throw a coin? Relevancy only works to a certain point, between the relevant pages, there has to be a competition to determine the winner. Meet the back links.”

I think this person is completely correct. Getting links to your site is a popularity contest especially if your content is good. There are a bunch of other people out there who are probably saying the same thing as you using different words and the above comment sums up the struggle of getting on the front page beautifully. Here’s the video that provoked the comment.

I think it’s a tough question to answer when you consider the fact that big business have the funds to pay for getting their links out there.

I have a spreadsheet and in that spreadsheet is all the different article directories for which I have an account. There is a lot and it can be a pain if I’ve re-installed Windows (and lost all the automatic passwords in Firefox) and have to scroll through it to find the password for each directory. I’ve been too stingy to use an automated service and I’ve never been sure if they are trustworthy. I don’t like totally automating everything.

Some of the article spinning versions of article submission software produces nothing short of crap. I use The Best Spinner for my article spinning by the way. It gives you full control and uses a database that is constantly updated by the thousands of users. Awesome.

Every now and then I try out trial versions and have even tried some of the free ones. Most (read all) of them are rubbish. But then I received an email from one of my IM gurus that I follow who was recommending a totally free article submissions piece of software. I wasn’t expecting much but thought it was worth a try. There is an optin to download it but I don’t think I get bombarded from the author. I might because I get so much trash it’s ridiculous but I haven’t noticed.

This software is fantastic. It works and it works well. It comes with a list of article sites. Well over a hundred and closer to two hundred. It can totally automate the login procedure and sign up procedure. The URL’s you submit your articles to can be saved and you can make your own personal list. If you have a compatible article spinner you can put the spun article in the box and it will spin if for you at the click of a button. If you can be bothered to put the brackets in yourself you wouldn’t even need to have an external spinner. I’m too lazy for that and will continue to use the Best Spinner because of it’s user database and the fact it keeps track of the opening and closing brackets for you.

I used to be able to spin and submit a measly two articles a day (can’t wait until I can outsource). Now I can do about 10-20. I should be able to do more but I’m IM’ing at home with four kids who suck up all my time. I find that I also enjoy it more. It use to be a real drag as I use to spin the articles manually.

If you’re a lone wolf like me and just starting out but need something that’s affordable because you’re making bugger all money then check it out at Article Submission Helper. The Best Spinner software can be found here. (Affiliate link so I’ll get commissions for lollies and shiny things).

I’m a big fan of James J Jones. His software Micro Niche Finder is my first port of call when I want to create a website around a keyword phrase.

James has come out with a fantastic new piece of software for those of us who struggle to find ideas for articles or have an inkling to create an ebook. He calls it the Ultimate PLR Article Collection and I would have to say that the title is right on the money as it definitely is the best private label rights articles collection I have come across.

I’ve spent a bit of money on PLR articles. More than what this software is being charged at and I haven’t received a tenth of the articles that this software provides. There is about 16 categories with 29,768 articles total.

Using this piece of software is extremely easy. You can select your category and then drill down further into the sub categories. Typing in a keyword of your choice will also help you narrow down the selection process.

To create an ebook you simply create a new project and save your selections to it. Then you load the project, select the articles you want to include in the project and click on the ebook creator button. You are then given a bunch of options for the ebook such as title and table of contents. At the end of it you are given an RTF file to save. From there you can edit the RTF as you see fit by adding pictures, changing fonts and all that stuff. All very easy and intuitive. For the best results you should edit the articles themselves so they’re not the same as a bunch of other peoples stuff.

Editing articles in the Ultimate PLR Software Package is also extremely easy. James gives you a link to a video on how to use the software for spinning. The video only mentions changing a few words here and there but I have used the same technique for changing entire sentences and it works a treat. Each time I spin an article the software automatically picks a random sentence that I have included and presto I have a completely original article. I recommend writing at least an extra two sentences for best effect but the more there are for the software to randomly choose from the more articles you can have.

In short I will probably never have to buy another piece of PLR again thanks to James software. In the future, according to an email from James, there is going to be an option to add your own articles. This is going to be awesome as you will probably be able to store all your articles in one convenient location. At the moment I’ve got them all over the place in an effort to keep them organized. Plus you will also have the ability to add other PLR articles and spin them if you do decide to purchase more.

For the minimal investment required to get this collection you can’t go wrong. If your favorite stay at home job is niche websites and article marketing or even creating ebooks for sale then you should seriously consider this excellent piece of software for your tool collection. Not only do you get the software but it comes with James 8 week guarantee and free upgrades for life.
